WORK EXPERIENCE
DRIVER @ PUREE JUICE BAR
Bethesda, MD
March 2020-November2020
I picked up a quarantine job at a local juice bar when I got home from studying in Spain. I played a small role as a driver for the company delivering juice from the stores to customers yet I found big ways to go above and beyond. Over the months, I got to know the customers… their preferences on which door they wanted items delivered to, if they wanted their door bell rung, if they needed ice packs in their drink coolers or if they would greet me at the door. Many of the customers took notice and would thank me in person or via the delivery app… some even wrote handwritten letters for me and small gifts around the holidays explicitly mentioning how much they appreciated my thoughtfulness. This meant a lot to me too and definitely kept me motivated in such a difficult time. I learned it’s more so the little things that go a long way and ultimately the importance to go above and beyond, even in a small role!
BLOGGER @ GORDO’S CHEESE DIP
Based out of Atlanta, GA
November 2018-present
My experience on the marketing team for Gordo’s Cheese Dip opened my eyes to the traveling perks of working. As a blogger, I would go on marketing campaigns to fun places like Daytona 500 and concerts documenting my time and the people I met along the way. Specifically at Daytona 500 in Florida, I was surprised to realize how nice people can be… but maybe it was the southern hospitality or the fact that I was slinging out free cheese dip from a food truck… They were long, hot days but the payoff was huge for the company as we got hundreds of people to buy cheese dip for their tailgates. Although my traveling has been more limited since transferring home, I still write recipe blogs from home. Writing these blogs every month, no matter the topic, has helped perfect my writing skills and expose myself to different walks of life. Here are examples of some of the recipe blogs I made.
PHOTO EDITOR INTERN @ SOUTHERN FOOTBALL GUIDE
Based out of Atlanta, GAÂ
May 2018 – August 2018
Southern Football Guide is distributed to over 250,000 opt in individuals three times per year-- August for Preseason, December for the Bowl Edition and Recruiting in May. My role was getting the pictures and making the spreads which consisted of charts, bios, and team schedules. In constant communication with the ACC and SEC school’s media departments, I learned the importance of email etiquette and being timely with my responses. I also realized that consistency is key when communicating with these big schools. Coming from a football family, I appreciated that the work I was doing was relevant as it targeted customers like my brothers and Dad, who played football in college. To the right, is one of the spreads I made in the final 2018-2019 Bowl Edition.
INTERN @ MARYLAND STATE ATTORNEY’S OFFICE
Rockville, MD
August 2016- May 2017
Throughout my senior year of high school, I spent copious amounts of time interning at the Maryland State Attorney’s office in Rockville. I shadowed Donna Fenton, the assistant state attorney making copy’s, documenting notes, transcribing 911 and jail calls. Although I was surrounded by older law students preparing for the BAR exam, I learned to work in an intense environment and communicate clearly under pressure. Here, I perfected my writing skills and familiarized myself with legal language.  Possibly my favorite takeaway from this internship was watching someone perform an autopsy. It was an emotionally challenging experience however eye opening to see the reality of death and the science behind the human body.
